BENTLEY | 01

Once a small and outdated single-story cottage, Bentley | 01 has been transformed into a two-story home with an ADU that couples warm materials and timeless elements with a modern twist.

To meet the needs of the family, the ground level is designed as an open floor plan with strategically placed ‘porous partitions’ which simultaneously separate and connect various spaces. Visual connections allow the family room, living room, dining area, and kitchen to relate spatially, while physical barriers separate the spaces into distinct areas. Custom millwork and carefully placed walls define and energize each zone. The result is a cohesive and harmonious atmosphere comprised of defined moments.

Large windows are used throughout the home to create a bright and welcoming atmosphere. The combination of high contrast materials, clean lines, and the abundance of natural light results in a bold, visually impactful design and unique experience that adds depth and character to the space.

ADU

The addition of an ADU adds an anchor to the backyard, creating layered experiences as you move from the main house though the landscape. From fully closed to completely open, the ADU provides versatility and flexibility in use – live, work, play.
