Harvard House is a thoughtful explanation and modernization of a charming Craftsman-style home that, while cherished for its original character, no longer meets the family’s lifestyle. The design aims to preserve the historic charm of the front half of the home, which will remain untouched, while introducing a small addition and total renovation to the back half to enhance functionality. The design will focus on updating key areas such as the kitchen, dining nook, bedrooms, bathrooms, and patio to meet the needs of their growing family. This expansion will seamlessly integrate modern materials and design elements in the new areas, creating a hybrid that respects and pays homage to the original Craftsman style.

Traditional materials will be used in unique and innovative ways, including installation methods, material locations and design shapes to blend contemporary functionality with historic elegance. The result will be a sophisticated home that honors its Craftsman roots while providing updated, practical spaces tailored to modern needs.
